We decided to take a little road trip this weekend to Chincoteague Virginia. It is a nice drive up there once you are past all of the crazy Norfolk traffic! We crossed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and then drove about 90 miles up the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
Here is the lighthouse on Assateague Island.

We didn't get to see very many of the
wild ponies, but here is one with her baby.

The best part of the whole weekend was taking Isha to the beach on the
Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge.

She loved just sitting in the sand and shoveling it into her bucket! I think that she could have stayed there all day if we had let her.

Isha and Jai braved the freezing cold water. I got in up to my ankles and that was enough for me. It was so cold that it hurt, but Isha didn't seem to mind.

Isha sporting her new lady bug bikini without swim diapers. Yeah!!!

More digging in the sand.

Isha even let us bury her in the sand. Look at that foot in the corner of the picture. Usually it is my thumb that makes it in the picture, but this time I managed to get my foot in there. I guess it is a good thing that I can still see my feet despite my growing belly!

It was the perfect day to spend at the beach. It was in the mid to upper 70's and there was a nice cool breeze that kept us cool and comfortable.

And here is one sleepy little girl after a long day of playing on the beach, sight seeing and walking along nature trails. It was a nice get away and we really enjoyed ourselves.
