There is nothing that this kid won't eat. She likes it all. It doesn't matter if it is fruit, veggies or table food, she likes it all. I hope she stays this way because life is much easier when you don't have picky eaters!!
Diya loves to feed herself. After eating her baby food I always give her a big handfull of either puffs or Cherrios to keep her happy.

A Birthday Party
Isha and Diya's little cousin ,Vihaan, turned one so we headed up to Maryland to help him celebrate his big day. We had a great time visiting with family, eating great Indian food and taking the new car for a little road trip.
Isha had a great time hamming it up for everyone! This girl loves attention.

Diya's Six Month Check Up
It is hard to believe that Diya is already six months old!!! She had her check up today with he pediatrician and she is doing great. She weighed 13 pounds and 7 ounces and was 25 inches long. She is way down in the percentiles on the growth chart, but the doctor said she is doing fine and not to worry. I guess she is going to follow in her sister's footsteps and be a tiny little thing. That's fine with me because it makes is much easier to hold her and carry her around!
Diya is also starting to sit up on her own. She still needs someone sitting behind her, but she can hold herself up pretty good now. It will be nice once she can sit up by herself because then she will be able to see what is going on around her and it will be easier for Isha to play with her.

Snow
Saturday morning we woke up to snow and by the end of the day we had a foot of snow on the ground! We have spent all weekend at home and let me tell you, it is cruel and unusual punishment to be stuck in the house for days on end with a three year old!!! Luckily we were able to get out of the house Saturday night. After all the snow stopped we went to the neighbors house and had a big taco feast with four other families in the neighborhood! The kids had a blast running around and playing and it was nice to have some other adults to hang out with.

A Little Face Time For Diya
Diya is doing great!! It is hard to believe that in a few weeks she will be 6 months old!! Her half birthday is on Valentine's Day. We are going to have to have a little party for her.
She still has her amazing blue eyes and I am hoping that they stay that way!!

Happy Third Birthday Isha
I can't believe that Isha is 3!!! It is amazing how much she has grown and changed in just three years. On the day she was born I had no idea what we were in for and it is amazing how our lives have changed, but I couldn't imagine it any other way.
We had the neighbors over for cake and ice cream to help Isha celebrate her big day.
She loves playing with Braden and Rylan. Poor Isha had a bit of a stuffy nose on her birthday and after wiping her nose all day she was left with a bright red nose, but it didn't stop her from having fun!

Christmas Pictures
We are a little late getting Christmas pictures taken this year, but as they say, "Better late than never." This morning we went and had them done.
I almost skipped it all together because I didn't feel like taking the time to do it and I didn't want to spend any more money, but since it was Diya's first Christmas I figured I better be a good mom and get the girls some pictures. Plus their dresses were so pretty and the girls are so darn cute that I couldn't resist!

Welcome Home
This is what was going on while we were in Jamaica! It is hard to be in your shorts enjoying the sun in the morning and be in your winter coat that same evening. At least the snow made it feel more like Christmas!

Oberoi Family Vacation In Jamaica!
We brought the DVD player so when we weren't playing outside we let Isha watch movies in the room to keep her occupied. Diya spent all of her time in the shade either eating, sleeping or just looking adorable. The hotel had a playground area and Isha enjoyed playing with Clifford and making some friends on one of the cool and windy days. The weather was perfect while we were there. We only had one cool day and a few days of rain. It was nice because the temperatures were in the mid 80's so it wasn't hot and miserable!
Isha enjoyed her Pina Coladas until we realized that every time she had one she was covered in hives. After two trips to the nurses office for Benadryl she had to switch over to Strawberry Daiquiris. Poor thing! She also had to have a doctor come to the resort to see her because she had pink eye. That bought her 5 days of eye drops which she wasn't to fond of at first, but after the first few days she didn't seem to mind them. Thank goodness none of the rest of us got it.
We did a little shopping and got both of the girls sun dresses from Jamaica. I hope that they will still fit this summer so that they can wear them again because they are so cute.
Isha loved playing in the sand. She met a cute little boy, Ethan, that she spent an afternoon with making sand castles and playing in the ocean. Posted by The Oberoi Girls at 8:16 PM 5 comments

Diya's Four Month Check Up
Diya had her four month check up and got a clean bill of health. She is 12 pounds and 10 1/2 ounces which puts her in the 35% for weight and she was 24 3/4 inches tall, which is the 75%. That really shocked me since she doesn't have the tallest parents. My mom's side of the family is tall and while I was pregnant Jai and I joked that Diya would probably turn out to be taller than all of us. If things keep going this way she might really do it. It will be interesting to see what percentile for height she will be in at her six month appointment.
