Isha's Last Day As An Only Child
Isha's world is about to change!!! Today is her last day as an only child. For awhile I was struggling with the fact that I had made a life changing decision for her. She was getting a sibling whether she liked it or not. I was afraid of how I would be able to give her all the time and attention that she was used to, but after reading this poem I felt much better.

Another Diya Update
So after a lot of thinking, praying, discussing and a little crying I have scheduled an induction for this Friday. I wanted to schedule it for Monday, to give Diya just a few extra days to make her arrival on her own, but just my luck my OB is on vacation next week so that left me with either Friday or Monday the 24th. I feel guilty about scheduling an induction because I am really not that miserable, despite the heart problems, carpal tunnel, peeing every two hours, achy joints, lack of sleep, sciatic pain, nausea and swollen hands and feet. My biggest concern is that my mom is coming this Saturday to help out and to see the new baby and I really want to have her by then. I would feel horrible if my mom flew all the way out here and then Diya decided to stay put and I couldn't be induced until the day my mom was supposed to leave. Then she wouldn't get to see her new granddaughter! I am still hoping that I will go into labor on my own, but I guess in the long run it doesn't really matter if I go into labor on my own or if I am induced, just as long as Diya gets here safely and she is healthy. That is really all that matters!!! At least now I am much less stressed about everything and maybe that will help me relax so that I can have this baby!!!

Diya Update
I am hoping that changing the blog to a baby theme will help encourage Diya to come. So far the full moon, hot and spicy food, and prayer have not worked!! I went to the doctor on Friday and nothing had changed. She did tell me that the good news was that the closer I got to my due date the greater the chance that the baby would be born! At least someone has a sense of humor about it!! I am really hoping that today or tomorrow is the big day. I am getting really anxious to meet this little girl. We will keep everyone posted.

Summer Camp
Isha just finished a week of summer camp at her preschool and she absolutely loved it! Every morning started with outside play time in the pool and sprinkler. Isha loved playing on the swing and slide. She also did lots of painting on the big sheets of paper they hung up on the fence.
After playing outside the kids would head inside to eat lunch, play and do art projects. I have a very cute watermelon picture on my fridge complete with Isha's fingerprints as seeds and a lovely sunflower she painted.
She did great all on her own!!! She was very brave and she made lots of friends. She really liked her teachers and she told me all about her day when I went to pick her up. It was so strange because the first afternoon I picked her up I felt like I was picking up a different kid. I had dropped off my baby and here was this independent and grown up little toddler that I was picking up. I am glad she went because now I feel more comfortable about her going to preschool this fall. I know that she is going to love school and is going to do just fine!!!
I also had an OB appointment today and everything looks great. Diya is growing just fine and she is getting read to make her entrance. I am hoping she might decide to come a little early because I am so excited to meet her!

Picture Success
Yesterday Isha and I went to have pictures taken and it was much better than the last trip. There was no crying and we had lots of great shots to choose from.
I only have 1 or 2 pictures of me when I was pregnant with Isha because I thought that I was to fat. I decided that this time around I was going to take some pictures of me pregnant. I want to be able to look back on them and be able to share them with my girls. I love how this picture turned out. It is so sweet how Isha already loves Diya. I can't wait for her to finally get to meet her little sister.
I love this picture. You can't see her beautiful eyes, but I love how sweet she looks. If only she acted this sweet all the time!

An Update On Diya
That's right, we finally decided on a spelling!!! It is Diya Isabelle Oberoi. I can't believe that we are down in the double digits now on the ticker. Hopefully these last 7 weeks go by quickly and smoothly! Here is another picture of the expanding belly. Diya is a very active little girl and according to the doctor she is growing just fine and all is well.
We are trying to get prepared for her arrival, but I just don't feel very motivated to get much done these days. I feel like we are so far behind. We had things prepared for Isha's arrival months ahead of time and this time around we are way more relaxed about it. I guess that is the difference between the first child and the second one. I have started to sort through all of Isha's old clothes and I finally bought a few diapers the other day. I have bought a few new outfits for her and some onesies. Diya has received some adorable booties from Holli, a sweet little pink sweater dress from Meg and a really cool bib, burp cloth and ballerina socks from her Tia! She is well on her way to being one well dressed and spoiled baby!!

A Tiny Diva In Training
My sister in law sent these adorable aprons for Isha and me. Mine says Domestic Diva and Isha's says Diva In Training. Honestly I think we should remove the "in training" part from Isha's apron because lately she has been a full on DIVA. Here is a small sampling of some of her favorite new phrases:
Don't boss me mom (she always points her finger at me when saying this one)
Listen to me mom (once again finger is pointing at me)
I don't have to listen to you mom
It's MINE
Don't worry about it mom (she always says this when she is getting in trouble for something)
Yat Yat Mom (I think that this is Isha's version of "whatever")
We have had some serious discussions about "back talking" lately. Hopefully they are sinking in because this has become really irritating. What happened to my sweet little girl?
Other than some occasional naughtyness Isha is doing great. She is enjoying lots of time at the swimming pool and getting a great tan!!! In a few weeks she has summer camp at her preschool so that should be lots of fun.
[It really irritates me when blogger decides to format my post however it wants. It was typed out all nice but everytime I publish it it's just one big paragraph!!! ARGH! Yat Yat Blogger!!!]

A Little Work On The Nursery
So far I have done nothing to get the new babies nursery ready (I am still calling her the new baby because we still have not decided on how to spell her name), but today I finally made a decision on the bedding for the nursery. I liked this pattern because it isn't one of those obnoxious baby patterns and it is something that she can use for awhile. It has purple accents so that is probably what we will choose for paint. I plan on knitting her a purple blanket to go with her pretty room.
Now I just need to work on getting her room cleaned up. There are piles of Isha's old clothes on the floor and bed that need to be boxed up. One of these days I am going to have to get motivated, but I am not in a big rush because we will probably keep her in our room in the bassinet for awhile after she is born.
I will have to post another belly picture because this girl is growing like crazy. She also moves around all the time. Isha loves feeling her move and she says that she loves her sister. I hope things stay that sweet once the baby actually gets here.

A Trip To Chincogteague
We decided to take a little road trip this weekend to Chincoteague Virginia. It is a nice drive up there once you are past all of the crazy Norfolk traffic! We crossed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and then drove about 90 miles up the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
Here is the lighthouse on Assateague Island.

Our Last Kindermusik Class
Tuesday was our last Kindermusik class. The instructor, Mary Jo, is not going to teach KM anymore because she is going to grad school so it was a sad class. Isha has really enjoyed learning about music and making new friends.

We Finally Picked A Name
We picked a name for our new baby girl. We aren't sure about the spelling yet so vote in the poll and let us know what you think. Here it is: Dia, Diya, or Deeya Isabelle Oberoi
It is pronounced DEE-AH.

Potty Update
Isha is still doing great with her big girl panties. We have been accident free since Sunday the 3rd of May!! She is even making it through the night dry. We are so proud of her. The only issue is that Isha likes to check out all the potties when we are out of the house (yuck!) and she also likes to say she is done going and then as soon as you go to take her off the potty she says she has to finish. I told her the other day that going potty is not a game and that when she is finished she needs to let me get her off the potty. She proceeded to tell me in a very sassy voice, "I am NOT playing games MOM!!" Well now I know!!!

Belly Picture
So here is the promised belly picture. I went out to dinner with the girls the other night and I figured since I actually looked decent I would let Jai take a picture. As I get bigger I will post some more, but I just want you to know that I am never going to be brave enough to post a picture with my shirt pulled up!!! This is going to be as good as it gets!
